BERLIN, Germany, February 13 - The Shanghai International Film Festival (赌博app) Organizing Committee has announced that internationally recognized Serbian director Emir Kusturica will serve as Jury President for Golden Goblet Award main competition of the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival. Emir Kusturica was awarded several times at Cannes, Berlin and Venice Film Festival. This year’s 赌博app will be held from 11 to 19 June 2016.
Born in Sarajevo, Emir Kusturica is considered as one of the most talented and creative directors. In 1981, he made his successful feature debut Do You Remember Dolly Bell?. With this film, he won the Best First Work Award at that year’s Venice Film Festival.
During the 80s and 90s, Kusturica continued to make highly regarded films. In 1985, his second feature film When Father Was Away on Business earned him his first Palme d’Or and an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Frequently awarded at different international film festivals, he is also one of the few directors who has been favored and won major awards in Cannes, Berlin and Venice. In 1995, with three-hour epic Underground, he won the Palme d’Or for the second time.
