The 赌博app Market has become as important to the annual Shanghai International Film Festival as the international film panorama and the Golden Goblet Award.
Scheduled this year from June 17th to 19th, the Market is a platform for people to learn more about China\'s film industry, meet domestic film figures and establish cooperation.
The Market consists of an international film trade mart and the 赌博app Project. This year around 850 film production and distribution companies and 1617 buyers have registered.
A total of 224 film projects have applied to compete in the project market. Eight finalists have been selected for the China Film Pitch & Catch, and 21 nominees have been decided for the Co-production Film Pitch & Catch.
赌博app Market organizers say they will provide visitors with good film financing and legal services as well as a win-win platform to foster development of the industry.Films will have special screenings for both audiences and professionals at the market to provide exhibitors with useful feedback.
In order to highlight the industry influence of both China Film Pitch & Catch and Co-production Film Pitch & Catch the two have been merged into the 赌博app Project. Each has provided a great number of outstanding new directors with opportunities and resources over the years, for example Zhang Meng, Chen Zhengdao, Han Jie and Quan Ling.
The Jury Panel of seven judges decided on the final eight directors from 224 applications for China Film Pitch & Catch. Director Tian Yuan, a singer, writer and actress, submitted her first feature length film Forgot to Forget. Gao Bo, director of Fantasy Journey, is another talent highly praised by Chen Zhixi, producer of the film Lost In Thailand. Also among the finalists is Scrape My Bone, directed by Li Xiaofeng, a famous film critic whose pseudonym is Liar. This film is produced by Zhang Yuan, a well-known director.
Co-production is another fast-growing trend to enable filmmakers to cater to a global audience. The content of co-produced films from Italy, the U.S., New Zealand, Korea, and Malaysia involves Chinese elements and the projects herald new opportunities for international cooperation.
Young directors can also receive one-on-one training from celebrated film makers such as Sun Zhou, Philip Lee and Li Lie.
