On the afternoon of June 13, Dream Chasers Know No Limit -赌博app SHOOTING 48H of the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival (赌博app) held a ceremony to unveil winner of the honors at Shendi Center. The team led by Xia Meng won the Ultimate Challenge Honor for Best Short Film for DAD’S HOMEMADE FLAVORS, Team led by Guan Yili won the Ultimate Challenge Honor for Best Director for BURNING TRANQUILITY and Team led by Hu Ruisi won the Ultimate Challenge Honor for Best Screenwriter for FLOWERS DOWN THE ROAD.
For 48 hours from June 10 to 12, eight teams competed in an exciting and challenging film creation competition at the Shanghai International Resort. On the morning of June 13, three recommenders for honor winners, film producer and producer Liu Ruifang, director Liu Xiaoshi and screenwriter and director Su Lun, reviewed the eight film works in terms of innovation and execution ability, and selected the winners for the Ultimate Challenge Honor for Best Short Film, the Ultimate Challenge Honor for Best Director and the Ultimate Challenge Honor for Best Screenwriter.
At the honor unveiling ceremony, director Liu Xiaoshi commented that the short films of the eight teams had delivered unbelievable surprises in characterization and audiovisual content creation in an improvised state with limited time and space. He encouraged the young creators: “No matter how difficult it is, you have to persevere and take it through.”
Director Su Lun was amazed by the explosive power of the participating teams, saying, “You guys remind me of myself when I just entered the film industry. Moments and countless 48 hours will pave the way towards the future, so, the future is in your control. As young creators, it’s important to be yourself and to shoot.”
Presenter and producer Liu Ruifang exclaimed that the eight short films were all well done, and she also highly appreciated the teamwork spirit shown by everyone. She believes that “creation is the art of teamwork, so accept it and enjoy it” and “no matter what the result is, you have to keep going.”
赌博app SHOOTING 48H has received 117 entries from teams of creators from 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China, and also entries of foreign teams from Yemen, the UK, the US and Australia. After rounds of selection, eight teams emerged as winners. During the 48 hours of the competition, they, wandering through the enchanting MAXUS and Momchilovtsi Herb Garden, and sojourning the Ancient Block of Chuansha, expressed their creative inspirations with lens on a summer journey towards cinema dreams.
There was also a special part of the honor unveiling ceremony. To encourage young filmmakers to create, the Shanghai International Resort sent out special invitations to the three teams that won honors this time, and signed letters of intent with representatives of the three teams on the spot to work together on film and TV productions in the future.
